Situation

Founded in 2002, Megalabs has grown into a pharmaceutical leader especially in the Latin American market. 18 countries, 17 production facilities, and 7 R&D centers later, Megalabs is now a regional company seeking to establish strong and reliable links and redefine the limits of what is possible.

In 2021, the Megalabs team was looking to streamline their quality processes. As a part of the project, they wanted to unify logger usage from each regional unit choosing their own solution to as few different variations as possible. An important factor would be that the HQ needed to have more control and better visibility to what actually happens to products.

Solution

The old process had too many steps and took too long. With this in mind, the implementation team had a clear comparison point to beat. The consensus on Logmore quickly became positive once the Megalabs team started testing and saw that the new process would be faster and even less prone to errors.

The centralization of all data under the Logmore Cloud platform was also received as a significant advantage over other solutions. The operations team particularly appreciated greater visibility and analytics features, which now allowed a better control over the stock of the devices while also requiring less effort.

Results

By switching to Logmore data loggers, Megalabs has saved 6 minutes per shipment. This translates to a 92% drop in the time it takes to configure the monitoring device for the shipment.
